TORI...and the three.

So, I've been listening to Tori Amos for the last few days...

The funny thing about her music, is that I connect it with three ex-girlfriends.
I don't think of them in a negative way, not in the slightest...it makes me miss them.

I miss them as friends, not lovers, but as people who's company I miss incredibly.

I get nostalgic and think of my time with each of them, how much I miss each of them and wish to talk to them.
The sad thing is that two have passed and the other is probably forever gone away...although I have tried to find her...silly social networks don't work if the person you want to say "hi" to isn't on them.

It may sound that I'm unhappy with my wife, but that isn't the case. I have never been happier.
I just miss my friends.

So I listen to Tori...sometimes I cry, sometimes I sing, and sometimes I'm inspired to write lyrics. Lyrics about the three friends I miss.

MY BACK HATES ME!

I have had back pain for seven weeks this Saturday!

I had an MRI for the first time ever. It wasn't too bad, except for the pain of sitting forward!

I still don't know the full extent of my problem, because the results weren't done when I went to my Doctor today (apparently it takes 24 to 48 hours to get the report and shite!), but my Doc called up and had the radiologist give him a brief summary ...which was like this:

"Impressive, Dave has a _______ disc (not sure if bulging or herniated ) at L5 and S1"... or some shit like that!

I hope my Doc calls tomorrow and let's me know what it says, because the specialist for Spinal Decompression appointment is on FEB 8th! WTF!?!?!?

I hope the Decomp works, because the only other option sounds like surgery!

My back hates me!

Current Events

WAVES OF MERCURY - We need to finish artwork for "The Great Darkness" and get it sent to the printer...maybe after tax return time.

The new album...
We have all the drums and 7 out of 12 guitar parts recorded. Michelle (niece) will be singing on at least two songs and hopefully another one or two.
The album is called "The Letters" and it's kind of about relationships, loss, ect.
I think I'm writing all the lyrics...we'll see.


ME - I have a pinched nerve in my back that goes into my right leg...today is week five of pain...BULLSHIT!

I want to go to school in New Hampshire for string instrument bow making, it's a two week course, but it'll have to wait until next year...damn money!

I'm starting to record with Shawn on mondays again...we have all the drums, bass & Guitars recorded...now onto vocals.

I'm starting a new recording project with Glen Wadie & Joe Dunn (both former Cold Colours) called BURDEN OF HOPE...in the Katatonia/Anathema vein...I think?

Did I mention I'm in pain?

I need to shave my head and trim the beard...sometimes I want a pretentious French mustache!

Watched "The story of ANVIL" - pretty awesome movie. 4 out of 5
Watched "Extract" - Mike JUdge is going down hill, I thought it was "meh" 2.5 out of 5
Watched "Thaw" - pretty cool horrorish movie 4 outta 5

Bought a game at Phoenix Games for 50% off of $49 "DOMAIN" - looks cool and I'm excited to play! Ben got two games too...INNSMOUTH ESCAPE" & "BUMP IN THE NIGHT" - Here we go Tuesday!!! Steve met us up at Phoenix.

Still in pain.

Ate at ROCKY ROCOCO with Ben,Liz,Cassandra & Steve! Good conversations and good time...until the wives seemed a bit bored...damn!

It looks like we (Ben and myself so far) are going to try our hand at Radio Dramas...first one to try is H.P. Lovecraft's "Music of Erich Zahn"
